Why Fort Worth Residents Choose Us for Carrier Service

We know these units the way you know your own street. Carrier has four distinct product tiers – Infinity, Performance, Comfort, and their ductless line – and each one fails differently in North Texas. A Comfort 24ABC6 condensing unit outside a house in Heritage behaves nothing like a 59MN7 modulating furnace in an Arlington Heights pier-and-beam. Marco Benitez, our owner, trained at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College and has spent close to two decades tracing refrigerant and airflow problems across the Southwest. His approach is simple: “Tell me what it is doing, and I will tell you what it needs.” That’s the standard our Fort Worth techs carry onto every job. We stock Carrier OEM controls and boards where communication or safety circuits are involved, and we show up inside the window with the price in writing before any work starts.

For broader background on what we do with the brand, see our Carrier sales & service page. And if you’re wondering whether we cover your part of town, the answer is yes – our Fort Worth service area stretches from the Near Southside up through the 820 corridor.

Common Carrier HVAC Problems We Solve in Fort Worth

These are the failures we see repeat, season after season, because Fort Worth’s climate and housing stock push Carrier equipment in specific directions:

  • Locked-rotor compressor starts on 24ABC6 Comfort condensers. Post-2000 subdivisions north of Loop 820 – Heritage, Crawford Farms, Saratoga – got a wave of Carrier Comfort units with Copeland scroll compressors. They’re all aging out now, and the shared failure signature is a locked rotor amp draw that blows the run capacitor in June. We keep 45/5 and 55/5 MFD dual capacitors on the truck for exactly this surge of summer no-cools.
  • Infinity 24ANB1 outdoor board failure from attic heat voltage spikes. The variable-speed outdoor board on the 24ANB1 is sensitive. When attic temperatures push past 150°F day after day, voltage irregularities can cause intermittent communication errors that read like a thermostat problem but are actually the board. We test before we condemn, because the parts are not cheap and guessing is not part of the job.
  • Evaporator coil leaks at copper-aluminum brazed joints. Comfort and Performance R-410A coils run long cycles in Fort Worth summers, and prolonged high superheat in a low-pitch vented attic accelerates the stress on those braze joints. Pinhole leaks are the first sign. We pressure-test with nitrogen and show you the leak before discussing repair or coil replacement.
  • ECM inducer motor seizure on 59SC5 and 59TP6 furnaces. Slab foundations move dust and fine grit through return air. On Carrier’s sealed ECM inducer motors, that dust works its way into the bearing assembly and seizes the motor, usually with a screeching startup noise. Replacing the inducer with an OEM unit fixes it; replacing bearings alone doesn’t last in our experience.
  • Infinity communicating thermostat losing connection to the indoor control board. Dry solder joints on early Infinity thermostats crack under Fort Worth’s wide temperature swings – 40-degree nights in January followed by 75-degree afternoons. The thermostat drops the communicating signal intermittently. We resolder or replace depending on the board’s condition.

Carrier Service in Fort Worth: What Local Conditions Mean for Your Equipment

Here’s the difference between fixing Carrier equipment in Fort Worth versus Dallas or Arlington. Fort Worth’s dominant housing stock is 1990s-2010s slab-on-grade tract construction, and in almost all of it, the evaporator coil and furnace sit horizontally in a low-pitch vented attic. In August, that attic runs above 150°F, which means the return air traveling through flex duct picks up heat before it ever reaches the coil. The result is a supply air temperature that’s already 10 to 15 degrees warmer than the same equipment would produce in a basement or closet install. When a Carrier Performance 24ACC6 can’t get a 15-degree delta across the coil, the problem is often not the condenser – it’s attic duct leakage and an undersized return plenum. We diagnose the whole airflow path, not just the metering device. That’s the only way to actually fix the upstairs rooms that never cool in a Keller-Haslet two-story.

Last July, our tech pulled into a house off Golden Triangle Boulevard in Keller-Haslet. 2009 Carrier 24ABC6, no cooling. The compressor was pulling locked rotor amps after the capacitor popped. The real culprit was a flex duct run in the west-facing attic, split open and dumping conditioned air into 160-degree heat. We replaced the capacitor, upsized the return drop, resealed the duct boots, and got a 17-degree delta across the coil. Fixing the capacitor alone would have bought them a week before the compressor killed another one.

Carrier Models & Products We Service in Fort Worth

We service the full Carrier residential line: Infinity (24ANB1, 24ANB7, 59MN7), Performance (24ACB3, 24ACC6, 59TP6), Comfort (24ABC6, 24ABB3, 59SC5), and Carrier ductless systems (38MGRQ, 40MAHB). On communicating systems like Infinity, we use Carrier OEM controls, boards, and motors because aftermarket parts cause more communication faults. On coils and capacitors, we’ll negotiate – particularly when the original aluminum fin pack was prone to galvanic corrosion. We stock common Carrier parts locally for fast Fort Worth turnaround, so you’re not waiting on a factory shipment during a July heat wave.

We also handle Carrier service in Mansfield and Carrier service in Haltom City for customers just across the county line.

Carrier Service Pricing in Fort Worth

Every Carrier repair starts with a written diagnostic and a fixed price before we touch a tool. Here’s what Fort Worth homeowners can expect:

Service Price Range
AC Repair (including diagnostics) $150 – $650
Furnace Repair (including diagnostics) $150 – $700
AC Installation (standard efficiency) $3500 – $7500
Tune-Up (furnace or AC) $80 – $200

The range depends on the part and the system. A capacitor replacement on a Comfort 24ABC6 runs at the low end. An ECM inducer motor on a 59TP6 furnace runs higher because the part itself is expensive. What doesn’t change: the price is in writing before work begins, and every repair carries a full-year written guarantee. If the repair fails inside that year, we return at no charge. Call (817) 730-5369 for an exact quote – estimates are free.
